Streaking Flyers a -140 Home Favorite Against Flames
The Flyers are doing exactly what we wanted the Sixers to do in the second half of the regular season. They’re frisky and in the middle of a point streak that has gotten them within striking distance of the final wild card spot in the Eastern Conference.
There’s still plenty of work to be done, though, since the Flyers are four points back of Detroit, but in seventh place in the race.
Anyway, it’s at least fun to have something to root for to bridge the gap to the Phillies and the Flyers could win again tonight as a -140 favorite against the Calgary Flames.
We all know the narrative in play here. Joel Farabee and Morgan Frost are returning to the Wells Fargo Center for the first time since they were traded. They’ve combined for a grand total of four points in the 10 games they’ve played for the Flames.
Calgary is near the end of a long road trip in which they haven’t scored much, if at all. They beat the Capitals at the start of the trip, then lost 3-0, 3-0, and 2-1 to Tampa Bay, Florida, and Carolina.
The Flames just wore themselves down after playing four of the tougher teams in the East, and that could be the perfect recipe for the Flyers to take advantage of their Western Conference foe.
The Flyers won four out of five, just took a surprising win in Winnipeg and have found something special in the Michkov/Couturier/Tippett line.
By the way, Michkov is currently at 44 points. He needs five more points to cash the over on his season-long points prop. There’s a chance he might get to 49 by the end of the week.
The Flyers allowed three goals or less in each of the wins during this hot run of form, and if you combine that with Calgary’s lack of scoring, it might be a night to bet the under.
BetMGM has an odds boost token available for Tuesday’s NHL slate, ESPN Bet has a 20 percent boost for NHL parlays or SGPs and FanDuel is offering a 25 percent boost on any three-leg NHL parlay/SGP/SGP+ with odds of +100 or longer. Plenty of options for Pennsylvania sports betting on a Tuesday night.
I would look into Michkov shots on goal and point props. The rookie has 3+ SOGs in six straight games. He has a point in four of his last six contests.
Tippett fired off 14 SOGs in the three games against Edmonton and Pittsburgh out of the 4 Nations break. He’s worth a look for SOGs and points as well.
You can combine those props with the Flyers team total of over 2.5 and the Flyers money line, like I’ve done for the last week, as the best way to secure profit from SGPs on Tuesday’s game.
