C.J. Gardner-Johnson is on his second day of subtweeting. This is what started it Wednesday:

Immediately Eagles fans suggested this was about Darius Slay and comments on his podcast. Sidenote: I can’t wait to never care about Slay’s podcast ever again. Thank you for everything you did here, but I’m so happy I won’t ever have to pretend to care about whose podcast he’s going on after a loss  or listen to him stick his foot in his mouth every single episode.

Now back to the drama. Here’s Slay’s answer to who will lead the secondary if he doesn’t re-sign, which people think set CJGJ off:

CJGJ then claimed it’s nothing about our team:

This is true and might be a thinly veiled shot at Slay because technically he’s on the team until June 1st, but he’s not really on the team since the Eagles released him.

It’s definitely not about a contract so stop spreading fake news:

Fast forward to Thursday morning and the tweets are being fired off during breakfast. CJGJ woke up pissing lightning and crapping thunder:

He could be talking about Justin Evans or Terrell Edmunds who the Eagles signed after he walked, or maybe he’s talking about Kevin Byard who the Eagles traded for mid-season. People don’t forget the 49ers bitching the Eagles up in their own house two seasons ago:

At the end of the day who cares? Slay is most likely not coming back, CJGJ is still on the team and believes in the guys around him. He’s a shit talker. He takes every little thing and uses it as a giant chip on his shoulder. If that’s what makes him a good football player it’s fine by me. He’s an emotional guy 24/7 365. But don’t call it a crash out. It is definitely not a crash out. Don’t write in the papers that CJGJ was crashing out:

UPDATE – Slay has responded:
