Should you have missed it yesterday, here is a full roundup of our Penn State coverage. Assuming nothing new comes out today, we’ll switch back to regular sports snark as the Phillies head to Denver to begin their pennant ch… haha, never mind.

Here’s the Penn State stuff, in order of appearance yesterday:

Freeh report released. Damning statement issued by former FBI director

In 1998, Joe Paterno knew about the Sandusky investigation. Jerry was given lump sum of money of $168k to retire and, Joe’s words, to be a volunteer position director– positive action for youth.

In 2001, Paterno told Mike McQueary that he would decide what to do. Authorities were never contacted and Penn State sold land to Second Mile.

The most damning passages on Joe Paterno from the Freeh report.

Fat Scott Paterno.

The Inquirer appears to have screwed up a report about Penn State switching away from coverage of the Freeh press conference.

Nike is removing Joe Paterno’s name from its child development center.

This new Penn State board member spent $25,000 to run a campaign ad. His platform? Reinstating a dead Joe Paterno.

The Washington Post reporter who interviewed Joe Paterno calls him a liar.
