Flyers/Capitals Postponed Due to COVID Issues

This isn’t great.
First the Flyers lost their upcoming series with the Devils due to COVID issues, now Tuesday night’s Capitals game has been postponed for similar reasons.
Tuesday’s Washington Capitals versus Philadelphia Flyers game has been postponed because of COVID-19 issues on the Flyers, a source confirmed to ESPN.
The Flyers are now the fifth NHL team on pause. The Buffalo Sabres, Colorado Avalanche, Minnesota Wild and New Jersey Devils have all had games postponed this week due to clusters of COVID-19 cases.
Sunday, the NHL announced that it did rapid testing for the Flyers ahead of that first game against the Caps. That resulted in Travis Sanheim ending up on the COVID list and we’ll see additional names added today.
As of now, the Flyers aren’t scheduled to play again until Sunday, against the Rangers. That game might have to be postponed if we’re going to give this pause a full week. That’s just a guess, but if I’m a betting man, I’d put some money on that happening.
Stand by for updates.
