Braves GM Alex Anthopoulos cried to reporters while announcing the Matt Olson deal:
The Braves trading for Matt Olson likely means the end of Freddie Freeman's time in Atlanta. Here's 11Alive's @ria_martin asking Braves GM Alex Anthopoulos why this was such a difficult deal to make (read between the lines): pic.twitter.com/C1BIM4fGdi

If John Middleton really wants to win and go back to his days as a cigar tycoon digging up dirt on his own sister, I’m signing Freddie Freeman today. John Middleton needs to see these tears as weakness and division in the Braves organization. That’s a guy who wanted Freddie Freeman back and was overruled. Pour some salt in the wound, John. Sign Freddie Freeman. What’s the point of being rich if you can’t flaunt it in your enemies’ face? I don’t care that your enemy is faceless. We’re talking about setting the tone for the rest of the 2020s. This guy rakes at Truist and Citizens Bank Park. That’s like 100 games of production you’re looking at. Give me back the John Middleton who crushed his enemies, ground them up, and rolled them with tobacco in his cigars. Go over the tax. Doesn’t your son have some leftover residuals from Manchester By the Sea he can loan you? Does the world need another Lego movie? When’s the last time you cried, John? Don’t you want to have a good cry when Freddie goes into the Hall as a Phillie? Wouldn’t it all be worth it? For you. For Phillies fans. For my lungs:
