Jim Salisbury from NBC Sports Philadephia says there is “credible buzz” Alec Bohm could be traded:

“Alec Bohm does not appear to have the job locked down. In fact, there is credible buzz that he could be used in a trade. Newcomer Johan Camargo has plenty of big-league experience at the position and has swung the bat well so far in camp.”

After Nick Castellanos’ press conference yesterday, we saw him immediately taking grounders at 3rd base:

Joe Girardi can say that’s what he likes to do to warm up, but it’s funny, this is the first photo we get after Nick said he was open to doing whatever the team needed, including playing 3rd. Currently, he’s only expected to play LF and RF when Harper is the DH.

Trading a 25 year old Alec Bohm feels like a no-brainer to get some starting pitching or reliever depth. The guy smokes the ball. The only problem is it’s always directly at someone and never over the fence. Maybe once the shift is done those get through. But the inconsistencies at the plate and in the field were alarming enough the Phillies want to sell high.

To be honest, I don’t know shit about Johan Camargo, but he could fill in at the hot corner. The Phillies have talked about moving Didi Gregorius over, too, if Bryson Stott is named the every day short stop. All I know is the first time the Phillies find a mainstay at third will be the first of my lifetime. Scott Rolen was shipped out by the time I was nine. We won a World Series with Pedro Feliz. Michael Young was past his prime and David Bell’s greatest achievement is being the last Phillie to hit for the cycle. Cody Asche, Maikel Franco, Abraham Nunez, and Placido Polanco’s giant head. It’s a cursed position.

P.S. – He was safe:
