If Colin Cowherd is Scared, he Should Get a Dog

Cowturd has apparently been scrolling Eagles Twitter, because he’s taken all of the scaredy-cat talking points and wrapped them into a 2:39 doom and gloom monologue:

No matter. If Colin Cowherd or any Eagles fans are scared, they should get a dog.

Here are some “alternative” talking points:

1. Jalen Hurts is not out indefinitely. This is not a Carson Wentz and Nick Foles situation.
2. They can absolutely win without Lane Johnson. That comment is ridiculous. Less than five years ago, we watched Big V play left tackle on a Super Bowl-winning team, replacing a future Hall of Famer. Trust Jeff Stoutland University. This isn’t Pitt or Marshall.
3. Avonte Maddox is indeed a huge loss, but if CJGJ comes back and can fill the gap in the slot, they’ll be okay with Marcus Epps and Reed Blankenship at safety.
4. good healthy players currently available: A.J. Brown, DeVonta Smith, Dallas Goedert, Miles Sanders, Jordan Mailata, Jason Kelce, Landon Dickerson, Isaac Seumalo, T.J. Edwards, Javon Hargrave, Haason Reddick, Josh Sweat, Darius Slay, James Bradberry. The banged-up Eagles are still better than at least 25 other NFL teams right this very moment.
5. Gardner Minshew is more than capable.
6. They beat the Saints and everyone gets extra rest before the playoffs.
7. The Cowboys aren’t coming up here and cruising past Jalen Hurts in the postseason at Lincoln Financial Field. Nobody should be concerned about that possible matchup.

Think positive thoughts. I need everyone to stop being a nation of wusses, as Governor Rendell once said.
