Grant Williams Politely Shuts Down Dak Prescott’s Brother

Alright let’s get it back to the Birds with Mavs forward Grant Williams responding to Dak Prescott’s brother on Twitter:
I support all my guys on the team and your brother because I love the man he is and who he inspires the youth to be. Full respect to all the hate he goes through and the talent he has but on Eagles v Cowboys it’ll always be Fly Birds Fly🤞🏽. https://t.co/VrIofKmQIn pic.twitter.com/C9aotTr536

The photo is perfect. Micah Parsons wearing a Sixers jersey at a Sixers game. Got ’em!
If you didn’t see the original clip, Tad Prescott is responding to Williams’ trolling of the Cowboys by wearing a Jason Kelce jersey to the podium following Sunday night’s big win.

Williams doesn’t have any ties to the Philadelphia region, so I think this is just a straight-up troll job, unless he’s a totally random Birds fan. He’s from the Houston area, went to high school in Charlotte, and then played his college basketball at Tennessee. He was drafted by the Celtics and then traded to the Mavericks.
But the general concept here is one we’ve talked about previously. Athletes are not required to support the other teams in the city where they are currently playing. If DeVonta Smith wants to be an annoying Celtics fan, whatever. If Jalen Hurts wants to wear an Astros hat to the podium, fine (his hometown team). Maybe you try to read the room on occasion, and not be obnoxious with it, but if the Eagles draft some kid out of Wyoming, he’s not required to walk around wearing Phillies, Flyers, and Sixers gear. Make sure Dak’s brother gets the message.
By the way, where are Cowboys fans from?
