They’re doubting because you started 10-1 and finished 11-6. And when you can’t get it done on the field, you revert back to banal self-motivators, as is usually the case around these parts. Funny enough, however, the Eagles opened as a -2.5 favorite in Tampa and are now a -3 favorite, so take that for what it’s worth.
The Eagles right now remind me of that scene in Half Baked where Thurgood, Brian, and Scarface visit Kenny in jail. They tell him their plan to sell marijuana and raise enough money to get him out of jail. But Kenny just wants them to go sell weed. No more window love. That’s where we all should be with this Birds squad. No more platitudes or cliches, just go out and beat an inferior team, one that you dispatched already this season.
