Ranking the Best Use of the Liberty Bell in Philadelphia All-Star Game Logos
By Kyle Pagan

The 2026 MLB All-Star game announcement was Friday in Philadelphia and with it came the logo:
Yes, another Liberty Bell.
The gravitational pull of the Liberty Bell is too strong for the creative types over at MLB:
The Liberty Bell is a good logo. Is it safe? Absolutely. But you can’t go wrong with imagery that represents freedom and independence the year of America’s 250th. Philadelphia has hosted a lot of All-Star Games and events that have had Liberty Bell in the logo. Seven to be exact. Lets rank the best. (Yes this is the most middle of July of middle of July sports post ever.)
7. 2012 MLS All-Star Game

Did you forget there was an MLS All-Star Game in 2012? I did. The Union have done a complete rehab of that area since they became a franchise, but Chester in 2012, oh what a site that must’ve been. Also, anything with the color scheme of the Philadelphia flag is a no for me.
6. 2002 NBA All-Star Game
Nothing says Philadelphia more than a basketball shooting star launching itself out of Saturn’s rings. Not enough Liberty Bell in here to be ranked higher. If you squint you can make it out.
5. 1952 MLB All-Star Game

Fun fact, this is considered the first “real” MLB All-Star Game logo. It’s also the first nationally-televised MLB All-Star Game ever, but was shortened due to rain. I gotta say this is a pretty good logo for the 1950s. The shading, the color, and the use of the baseball as the bell make the 1952 logo a hit for the first time the MLB dipped their toe into branding.
4. 2026 MLB All-Star Game
It’s good. Congrats to Mastercard for paying enough money to get on it during the unveiling. The 2026 MLB All-Star logo presented by Mastercard.
3. WrestleMania XL
Fantastic logo. Technically an All-Star Game if you ask me. The best of the best show up here too. I love the way it incorporated the Eagles midnight green since it was at The Linc. One of the most memorable WrestleManias ever with one of the best logos this city has ever seen.
2. 1976 MLB All-Star Game

This logo rules! Now, why does a bell need to be holding a bell? Who cares. I’m sure the designer had so much cocaine in his bloodstream during that time they didn’t have any room for common sense. The 76 logo is sick. They should bring that back somehow.
1. 1996 MLB All-Star Game

The cream of the crop. This logo POPS! Perfect for the 90s. It stands out, but it’s also simple. The color scheme rules and from what I remember the merch line was fantastic. Growing up I’d see parents rocking shirts with the All-Stars in caricature form and the shirts with the ticket stubs for the game. I think MLB needs to do a re-release.
