Milton Williams is playing in the Super Bowl on Sunday. Hopefully the Patriots lose by several touchdowns, but if they do win, the silver lining would be seeing him go back-to-back. He played great for the Eagles in 2024 and was a key part of that Vic Fangio defense.

They asked him to compare fanbases:

“New England is probably more… passionate. But Philly fans, they don’t care about nothing. They gonna do whatever. It’s even, but like, I feel like the Patriots fans, they don’t want to get in trouble. Philly fans, they don’t care about nothing. They don’t care if they go to jail or whatever.”

It’s a diplomatic and a fair answer. He is suggesting that we are incredibly stupid, but in a good way… I think. Boston fans are in the comments alleging that we are “retarded,” but if you asked most Eagles fans, I’m willing to bet that they would take that as a compliment.

Bottom line is that New England fans are good fans. They’re annoying as hell, and the accents are some of the worst in the world, but they are good fans. And Boston and Philly really are very similar in a lot of ways. Walkable cities with a lot of history, great food and drink scenes, big regional hubs with a lot of cultural influence, and passionate supporters of the four majors. Honestly wouldn’t mind playing the Pats and Red Sox more often.
