The Asian Facebook Scammers Would Have You Believe that Cooper DeJean Knocked Up Nikki Bella
On today’s episode of “diabolical AI shit that Meta will do absolutely nothing about,” we have an account called “Philly Birds Nest News” posting that Cooooooooooop got Nikki Bella pregnant:

Right, so as we take a gander here, the first thing is that the tweet is fake. DeJean didn’t post that. It also uses the wrong Bella twin’s name and ends with #Eaglers, which I think is how Mayor Parker spells it. Then you’ve got a link going to a Hong Kong-based webpage that’s littered with ads.
The one thing the scammers are doing a bit better is hiding the obvious identifying information. This particular page is attributed to 1011 Poplar Street in Philly, which is the location of a special needs daycare called “Frankie’s World.” Shameless. The phone number listed matches the Frankie’s World phone number as well. Sometimes the scammers will hack a business page or take over something that’s outdated, but Frankie’s has its own page with contact information matching the scammy hacker page.
Philly Birds Nest News has 13,000 followers and posts daily. This particular story didn’t gain much traction, but a recent post about Jeffrey Lurie opening up a “rainbow section” at Lincoln Financial Field has 577 likes and 314 comments. Boomer respondents are joking that Cowboys fans should sit there.
Anyway, these pages are completely out of control. They are all over the Crossing Broad algorithm. In fact, the algo a few days ago was three of these scam pages in a row. Three! The platform is a complete mess.
Does anybody at Meta care about scam AI taking over? Will they do anything about it? I’m like Sir Schmoke a Lot in Half Baked. God, if you’re listening, help!
