The Eagles beats did a session with Howie Roseman and Nick Sirianni ahead of the NFL Combine, which begins on Thursday.

Here’s Jimmy Kempski at PhillyVoice, quoting Roseman on A.J. Brown’s status:

“I’d go back to what I said at the end of the season,” Roseman said when asked directly if Brown would be on the team in 2026. “It’s really hard to find great players. I think A.J. is a great player. I think that, from my perspective, we’re looking to improve in all areas, and you don’t do that by subtracting.”

“I think you go into the league year listening to offers for everything and anything,” he said. “I don’t think that, you know, you can go into any conversation with anyone and just shoot things down without hearing what they have to say because you never know. If someone is going to give you something that you didn’t anticipate and you won’t even have the conversation, I don’t think you’re necessarily doing your job or servicing the team that you’re with.

It’s funny reading the headlines for this story because a lot of editors are writing the “Eagles can’t guarantee Brown’s future” or “Eagles won’t rule out A.J. Brown trade” or something along those lines. I thought Voice’s headline and subheader were good. They read, Eagles reiterate that A.J. Brown is a great player, will also listen to trade offers for him | As the Eagles head to Indianapolis for the NFL Scouting Combine, star WR A.J. Brown’s status remains very much up in the air.

That’s a fair way to frame it. People are always looking for some hidden message within the message when sometimes you just gotta take things at face value. A.J. is the best receiver the Eagles have had since Terrell Owens. He won a Super Bowl here. If you get a great offer for A.J., disgruntled or not, of course you have to give it serious thought. The Eagles have never shied away from making big moves. Same team that drafted Jalen Hurts after giving Carson Wentz a contract extension, then they ate a huge dead cap hit, won 4 games, turned it around, and went to SB57. Jalen Carter came with baggage and they packaged picks to move up for Jordan Davis, who had his break out this season. Throw in the way they do contracts as well, with early extensions and restructures and all of that, and the Birds usually get out in front when it comes to player-personnel decision making.

I’ve been keeping an eye on the A.J. Brown future team market at Kalshi. This morning, A.J. to stay with the Birds was up around 65%. It’s down to 61% after these quotes, but still very high considering it was in the 40% range just last week. Either way, this a volatile market and if you trust your instincts, there are some good prices to get in on:
