Checking in on some NFL futures after the A.J. Brown trade, and there’s not much of a shift.

Looking at two Kalshi markets, the Eagles remain the favorite to win the NFC East right around 40%, with Dallas second New York third, and Washington fourth:

This market opened back on February 11th with the Eagles holding a 55% chance to win the division for a third season in a row. Notable, of course, is the fact that the Birds were recently the NFC East’s first repeat winner in more than 20 years. That’s how competitive the division has been with the Cowboys, and sometimes the Giants and Commanders.

Earlier in the month, the Birds dipped below Dallas in this market before pushing back above Dem Boyz over the past three weeks. Otherwise, they’ve been out front for the better part of four whole months here, which includes April’s draft.

Looking now at total wins, it’s believed that the Eagles will still claim 10+ victories:

This market opened around 10.6 wins and remains right around 10.6 wins despite a slight drop earlier in May.

It’s a good number, too, if you look back over the Birds schedule. They should handle business against Tennessee, Arizona, Carolina, and Pittsburgh. Winning 3-4 games against the NFC East gets you to 7-8 wins right there. That means they could get to 10 with victories over the Jags in London, Indy at home, and then one of the Rams/Seahawks/Texans at Lincoln Financial Field. I’ve got them at 11-6 and based on the current Kalshi trends, it looks like 10-11 is the sweet spot for the Eagles at this moment in time.

Not sure about you, but I think the Birds bounce back in a big way. I think the offensive line was so banged up last season that it made the offense look a lot worse than it really is. Those big boys up front were not themselves. Now you’ve got a new coordinator and a new offense, but with Vic Fangio still in place, and I think the Birds have a great year.
