They say that pimping ain’t easy,* but not necessarily for Adolis Garcia in June of 2026.

He hit another dinger in Toronto on Monday night, his third in five games:

Garcia was dragged when he went down to Citizens Bank Park on June 1st to take BP on an off day. That’s not usually a thing, and it gave fans and media something to hone in on.

At the time, he was hitting .191 with a .571 OPS. He had gone six games in a row without a hit.

Fast forward to right now, and he’s batting .269 in June with a .269 on-base percentage and a .654 slug. That’s good for a .923 OPS. He’s struck out 10 times this month, and hasn’t walked, but he has six RBIs on seven hits and just one game without a hit. He looks ten times better than he did just ten days ago.

As a team, the Phillies are hitting .270 in June. They’re scoring 5.29 runs per game. The walk percentage is up to 11.3 and strikeout percentage is 24.1%, which is a little too high, but manageable. What’s good is that they’re hitting .283 with runners in scoring position and .293 against starting pitching, which are both top-8 numbers across Major League Baseball.

The Phils are 36-30. They were 37-28 at this same point last season. They’re playing good baseball and have straightened themselves out under Don Mattingly.

*Mount Rushmore of pimps? I would say Pimp C (RIP), WWE’s “The Godfather,” Iceberg Slim, and Alamo Brown from season 3 of Euphoria
