World Cup Final: British Broadcaster Thought Pharrell Williams was “AKA Rocky”

This was pretty funny from the World Cup final:

Love how Guy Mowbray corrects it from “AKA Rocky” to “A$AP Rocky,” but it’s still the wrong person. I guess they do kind of look alike while wearing glasses and sitting there in a luxury box, but still.

There were generic complaints about the FIFA broadcast picking out celebrities in the World Cup crowds. People wanted to watch the game itself, not fixed-camera shots of Brad Pitt and assorted Hollywood jamokes. Then you take it a step further and note that most of the play-by-play voices are older guys, who probably don’t even know who all of these celebrities are. There were definitely pauses as the broadcasters tried to figure out who they were looking at, which made for some nice comedic moments throughout the tournament.

Sadly, the World Cup has come to an end, but it was a very nice run we had. It seems like most of the visitors to the USA had a good time and enjoyed their experience. There were some complainers, like the fat Croatians who ripped our portion sizes, but to each their own. Everybody can say and believe what they want to believe, which is what makes this country great.

Speaking of which, the only positive about the World Cup being over is now the insufferable British wanksters will stop complaining:
