Claude Giroux Has Been Named an MVP Finalist

It’s probably the wrong day for this, but Claude Giroux has been named a Hart Trophy (MVP) finalist along with Sidney Crosby and Ryan Getzlaf.
Giroux was nothing short of brilliant since scoring his first goal on November 9. Throw out that first month of the season, and he wins this going away. As I mentioned earlier, he’s the lone star on a team that is sorely lacking scoring depth. I know, I know– he had a bad series against the Rangers (even though he led the team in scoring) and we’re all going to hold that against him. But the MVP nomination is well-deserved.
