You could always tell when J.C. Romero got out of a tough inning.  He would ball grab his way back to the dugout.  During the 2008 playoffs, I found myself waiting to see J.C. grab his balls (that opens up a whole bag of issues, but let's focus on baseball here, folks).

Anyway, the Phillies have re-signed J.C.  After they parted ways with potential signee Dennys Reyes because they didn't like his physical condition (something about baseball players and that Stay Puft physique), Romero made it known that he would like to return to the team.

It will be downplayed today, but if Romero can come anywhere close to his prior effectivenss, he will be an important signing for the Phiillies, who will need a left-handed specialist out of the bullpen- one of the few roles that will even be important with the starting rotation we have.
