So it turns out DeSean Jackson didn’t fire Drew Rosenhaus for a potential switch to Jay-Z. No no. Jackson fired Rosenhaus because he owes him, oh, carry the 2, $400,000. From Yahoo!:
NFL agent Drew Rosenhaus has filed a grievance against Philadelphia Eagles wideout DeSean Jackson, alleging the former client owes him more than $400,000 in unpaid loans.
Rosenhaus is alleging that Jackson took multiple loans from him, beginning when Jackson hired Rosenhaus to represent him in November 2009 and continuing through March 2012, a source told Yahoo! Sports.
Rosenhaus has filed a grievance with the NFL Players Association over the loans, multiple sources confirmed. Jackson severed ties with Rosenhaus in late May.
This isn’t the first we’ve heard about this. Last year, Rosenhaus was spotted complaining about D-Jac as a client to LeSean McCoy (after McCoy had fired and then re-hired and then fired and then dumped Rosenhaus on the side of the NJ Turnpike), and that was after Howard Eskin had reported that D-Jac was broke and using Rosenhaus’ credit card. Seems there was something to that report.
In the days since the news broke that Jackson and Rosenhaus parted ways, Jackson has denied that he is actively seeking representation from Jay-Z. But perhaps, given Rosenhaus’ claims, maybe Jay-Z is actively not seeking to represent DeSean Jackson. 99 problems and he doesn’t need Jaccpot to be one.
