His second 10-day contract came to an end, which means the Sixers would either have to sign him for the rest of the season on veteran minimum deal or let him walk.

Jon is reporting the latter:

Brewer played in seven games for the Sixers after being initially signed on Tuesday, January 15th. He averaged 7 points, 2 rebounds, and 2 assists in 20 minutes per game while giving the Sixers a decent defensive boost at small forward. The Rockets game, where he matched up against James Harden, was certainly the high point of a brief run, but his minutes waned when Jimmy Butler returned from the wrist injury to re-assume his starting job.

Furkan Korkmaz looks set to take Brewer’s bench minutes moving forward. The NBA trade deadline is Thursday at 3 p.m., so maybe the decision to let Brewer walk precedes a possible move.
