It’s not even June yet, and the Giants’ locker room is already imploding in beautiful fashion. For those who haven’t been keeping tabs on the latest in New York’s dysfunctional saga, here’s a quick timeline – Jaxson Dart introduced Donald Trump at a rally last week:

“What’s up, what’s up, what’s up… Yeah, look, Big Blue Nation, it’s a pleasure to be here. I gotta start this off with a Go Big Blue… Go, Big Blue! Go, Big Blue! Go, Big Blue!… What an honor. What a privilege it is to be here. And aithout further ado, I’m grateful, I’m honored, I’m pleased to introduce the 45th and 47th President of the United States of America, President Donald J. Trump.”

Abdul Carter saw the video on X and quote-tweeted it:

Using the exclamation instead of an “I” in “shit” is so funny. P!nk-ass style of cursing. Anyway, after that tweet, Abdul posted this update on the situation:

Good to know they spoke earlier as Men. Then, on Friday, the two came together at Giants practice in what was clearly a PR-ordered hug:

This hug had me laughing out loud. This is one of the more aggressive hugs I’ve ever witnessed. After giving Dart a couple harder-than-necessary slaps on the back and a quick rub that translates to “This hug can be over now, get off me,” Carter walks away looking furious. This is clearly not a hug between two people who are cool with each other. This is a “We have been ordered to pretend to be chill so our checks keep clearing” hug. This is a “You bitch, fuck you” hug:

Carter also took to the podium on Friday afternoon to issue a statement on where he stands with Dart now:

“First off, I wanted to say that some things are bigger than football, and this is one of those things. Jaxson is one of our leaders. He’s the face of our franchise. He not only represents himself and what he does, but he represents all of us, and that goes for anybody who wears a Giants uniform. But, if he chooses to align himself with a man like President Trump, it’s my responsibility – based on what I believe and what I stand on – to not only show my teammates that I’m against that, but to show the world. That doesn’t mean that we have to spread hate. That doesn’t mean that me and Jaxson hate each other or we have beef. I sit next to Jaxson every day. Every team meeting, we’re close, we talk. And we just – as long as we make sure we have the same goal as a team, and our goals align – which they do – I feel like that’s all that matters. So, I just want to move past this.”

Sorry Abdul, but I don’t want to move past it. Speaking for Eagles fans everywhere, if I may: this rules. Just feels great to know you guys got some real weird, tense beef going on in that locker room. Looking forward to a nice long offseason of terrible vibes coming from North Jersey. Prayers up that these tense interactions keep getting captured on video.

Kinkead: I believe the Giants double their win total this season. They finish 8-9 and last place in the NFC East.
