Eagles Penalize DeSean Jackson for “Conduct Detrimental to the Team”

After a week that’s seen DeSean Jackson post support for Louis Farrakhan, attempt to point out some kind of truth in quotes attributed to Hitler, fumble through an apology on his Instagram story, and later post a more… formal apology written in his Notes app, the Eagles have announced that DeSean Jackson has been penalized for conduct detrimental to the team:

The penalty the team is referring to is likely a fine, as Jackson has since accepted an invitation to visit the Philadelphia Holocaust Memorial Plaza, meet with a Holocaust survivor, and has pledged to educate himself on the Holocaust and why seemingly co-signing Hitler verbiage is a bad idea.
Was this enough of a penalty? Should he have been suspended? Cut? That’s for you to decide, but clearly Eagles owner Jeffrey Lurie and GM Howie Roseman, both of whom are Jewish, have decided to give the speedy wideout a chance to redeem himself.
