Isaac Seumalo Signs with the Steelers

He got a three-year deal:
Breaking: FA guard Isaac Seumalo has agreed to a 3-year deal with the #Steelers, source tells @theScore. One of the best guards in free agency, revered as a smart and tough player.

Other reports saying this is for $24 million.
Obviously a big loss. Seumalo was solid at right guard and his departure means that Cam Jurgens sliding over is likely going to be reality. I’d never put it past the Birds to draft an offensive lineman in the first round, but considering that you drafted and stashed Jason Kelce’s replacement for a year, not playing Jurgens at center OR guard would be very much not palatable.
Good thing for Jurgens is that the guy he’s ultimately replacing will be on his left and there’s a Hall of Fame worthy player to his right, though coming back from offseason surgery. You can’t ask for a better situation if you’re going to come in and play a different position before a year before you (presumably) go back over to center.
Eagles starting line as of 3/19/23:
- LT – Jordan Mailata
- LG – Landon Dickerson
- C – Jason Kelce
- RG – Cam Jurgens
- RT – Lane Johnson
