I don’t want to spend a lot of time on this because I rather focus on the victory and the Eagles being 7-1, but if this gets back to Brian Johnson and it results in Kenny Gainwell getting less redzone touches it’s for the greater good:

This is Jalen Reagor behavior. I mean you’re in a no win situation if you’re the pro athlete. But if I had a backbreaking fumble in the redzone the last thing I’d want to do at halftime is check my DMs. Kenny G on the other hand rather DM nobodies criticizing him. That’s insane. Maybe less time in the DMs and more running back drills. Eagles fans don’t already understand why he’s getting so many touches with D’Andre Swift the obvious lead back and this won’t get him back in their good graces. If I’m him I’m immediately finding a fall guy. Tell them your girlfriend or PR person handles your account. That’s an easy way out. The Eagles aren’t going to put their Kenesaw Mountain Landis pants on and do a forensic investigation.

Thank god the Eagles won. I couldn’t do 24 hours of Kenny G DM discourse.

 

UPDATE: Nick Sirianni confirms he talked to Gainwell. He knows he messed up and now we can all move on. 

Nick Sirianni said the coaching staff did speak with Kenny Gainwell about responding to a fan in his DMs during halftime. Says Gainwell knows he shouldn’t have responded.
