The Commanders Honeymoon Period Might be Over as Terry McLaurin Reportedly “Frustrated” with Contract Situation

You hate to see this happening in Washington:
“McLaurin is entering the final year of his contract. Talks have been minimal.”
Commanders fans would have us believe that Josh Harris is the greatest owner in all of sports and Adam Peters is the greatest GM in National Football League history. If that’s the case, then surely there’s nothing to worry about. Nothing to see here. They will get it taken care of.
OR – could it be that 2024 was one big ahead-of-schedule fluke, the Commies stumbling into a franchise quarterback for the first time since the Clinton administration while making an unexpected run with veterans on short-term deals? Some are asking!
Is Jayden Daniels due for a C.J. Stroud-like sophomore slump? Is Deebo Samuel washed? Will Josh Conerly and Trey Amos pan out? Can they make their run before Daniels needs to be paid? The clock is already ticking.
What Peters did last year was so easy a caveman could do it. A caveman could hand out one and two-year deals to guys like Austin Ekeler and Bobby Wagner, but can you build a Super Bowl-winning team, or is the ceiling a three-touchdown loss (EDIT – sorry it was more like 4-5 touchdowns) in the NFC Championship Game? My lukewarm take is that Peters will eventually be sitting on the couch like you and I, playing online slot games and blackjack online casino.
