Palm Beach Post:

The Dolphins are finalizing a deal to hire Adam Gase, the 37-year-old offensive coordinator of the Bears, as its next coach, according to a team source.

Gase will become the Dolphins ninth full-time head coach.

That report has been backed by both Adam Schefter and James Walker, both of whom say the two sides are just working through slight contract issues.

I’m about to lose my shit on Jeffrey Lurie and Howie Roseman. By all accounts, the interview with Gase went well and the Eagles were at least considering bringing him back, but perhaps not until the end of next week when they will reportedly reconvene to decide on their top candidates because, apparently, the whole fucking world will wait for them to make their decision. Or it won’t. Gase, maybe the frontrunner, is now gone, and the Birds will interview fucking Tom Coughlin on Monday and probably wind up with Pat Fucking Shurmur or dopey Doug Pederson as their head coach, because they might be the only two pushovers that will work in Lurie and Roseman’s fucked up executive circle jerk.

UPDATE: Like I can’t even tell if he’s joking here– I don’t think he is. This is what it’s come to:

UPDATE 2: Done deal:
