THE TUSH PUSH LIVES!

Holy shit what a rollercoaster of a ride this was! I thought for sure the Tush Push would be banned when I woke up. Turns out there is still some common sense in this country because the Tush Push lives! –
Release the votes! Give me your tears of unfathomable sadness! I want to taste them because they must be delicious!
We already have the names of some of our allies who will forever be on the right side of history thanks to Dianna Russini at The Athletic (with ads):
Those league sources told The Athletic that 10 teams — including the Ravens, Patriots, Lions and Jets — voted against that proposal, put forth by the Green Bay Packers. A majority of the league ultimately voted for a ban, but the Packers’ proposal fell two votes shy of the required 24-vote threshold.
With the Eagles being the sixth team to oppose the ban, early speculation would assume the Colts and Cardinals are two who voted against it and maybe the Chargers based on comments made by Jim Harbaugh in the past when asked about the play. Whomever #10 is, thank you from the bottom of our hearts!
UPDATE: I was way off. Screw Shane Steichen and Jonathan Gannon. Kellen Moore you rule. I’d kill to see Joe Schad crying over the Dolphins’ choice to vote against the ban:
The Tush Push is unstoppable. Not even the most powerful people in the NFL can ban it. There were multiple votes and even a privileged session in private and they still couldn’t ban it. What a win for the Eagles. What a win for the good guy. What a win for democracy and justice!
The legend of Jason Kelce grows:
Eagles leadership lobbied to protect the play they’d perfected right up to the end. According to a league source, owner Jeffrey Lurie addressed assembled owners for more than 30 minutes before Wednesday’s vote, emphasizing the need to clean up the process, not the play itself, saying: “Whoever votes to ban this play is taking liability for putting risk on our quarterbacks.” Following Lurie’s speech, former Eagles center Jason Kelce then testified to the play’s safety.
And give the Eagles social team a raise while we’re at it:
P.S. The Packers are more than familiar with losing 22-10:
