BOB Gets 10th Start in a Row, Lavs Hates Backup Goalies

BOB will get his 10th start in a row tonight and presumably say Nyet! Nyet! to every puck that is shot his way. However, what may be more interesting is the fact that Lavs, since joining the Flyers, has rarely started a backup.
The folks over at Broad Street Hockey did yeoman's work to show just how loyal Lavs is to his starting goalies.
Outside of starting BOB 10 times in a row (which we're OK with), Lavs has very rarely started a backup. [Broad Street Hockey]
The moral of the story? It took Peter Laviolette 46 games behind the Flyers bench before he gave his backup goaltender an actual start, whether that backup was Johan Backlund, Brian Boucher or Michael Leighton.
Great breakdown at BSH.
