This is sure to make anyone’s day. Flyers forward Oskar Lindblom, who is less than six months removed from a diagnosis of the rare cancer Ewing sarcoma, was on the ice at Flyers Skate Zone in Voorhees, NJ today:

From what I’ve gathered, Lindblom is nearing the end of his treatment, but fans shouldn’t get their hopes up for the young Swede to join the Orange & Black on ice for the postseason. Could he travel with the team to whichever Hub city the Flyers end up in? It’s possible, but it would need the approval of multiple people, including his doctors, to clear him to do so. Regardless, the sight of the 23-year-old on the ice is sure to get his teammates, fans, and anyone around the team excited about what the future could hold.
This is the best sign yet that Lindblom could be ready to take the ice for the 2021-22 season, something that seemed inconceivable just months ago.
