The Phillies are 7-8 and kick off a three-game set against the Cubs on Monday night.

Let’s check in on Jordan Romano, who is out in Anaheim now:

Absolute perfection! He has four saves in six appearances, allowing 0 runs with seven strikeouts and two walks. His ERA is 0.00.

Did the Phillies give up on Romano too early? 610-632-0975.

Now, of course it is mid-April, and Romano has only pitched five innings while playing for a pointless team in Southern California. The Angels haven’t made the playoffs since Obama’s second term, and they had Shohei Ohtani AND Mike Trout for six seasons together! That’s outrageous.

But, for context, Romano had a 12.60 ERA through his first six appearances as a Phillie, giving up six hits and seven earned runs in the process. He didn’t get his fourth save until May 14th and finished with eight total on the season, so he’s already halfway there in less than a month.

This has been an update on a former Phillie.
