Ryan Howard was out by 600 feet

In the first inning of last night's game, the Phillies missed a chance to increase their lead when Juan Samuel ran Ryan Howard into the third out at home.

My first thought was that RyHow should have ran over Marlins catcher John Buck. But when you watch the replay, it's clear that The Big Piece stood no chance.

Sammy is like the sports equivalent of Jeremy Renner's character in Hurt Locker– Fuck it, just go. If it blows up, it blows up.

Piece got a good chuckle out of it.

Video after the jump, bonus annoying Marlins announcers – as seen here – with out-of-context shouting… sort of like T-Mac.
