Burger King Howard Eskin Reports, in a Very Macabre Fashion, that Daryl Morey Will Be Fired
The Sixers were swept out of the 2nd round of the NBA playoffs, and Howard Eskin, who hates the team more than anything in this world, is now REPORTING that Daryl Morey will be canned:
Damn! The King is out for blood! He doesn’t just want Morey fired, he wants him dead, figuratively speaking… I think. Daryl Morey once called Howard “Trent Crimm” and this may be personal, but you never know.
By the way, Beyond Life Support is a great name for a brutal death metal album, although technically it makes no sense, because life support is binary. You’re either on it, or you’re not, right? There are no levels to life support, like it’s either keeping you alive, or you are dead. Maybe we can get somebody from one of Obama’s “death panels” on the podcast to clear this up.
But I digress.
This is aggressive reporting from Howard, who no longer covers the Sixers as a credentialed media member. He was consistently at the games for many years before he was booted by WIP, and when I say “at the games” I mean he asked Brett Brown a question or two, shuffled around the arena to mingle and show fans his Super Bowl ring, then he’d leave right around tip-off. But his track record has been spotty lately. He was the first to report that Kellen Moore would become Eagles’ offensive coordinator, and we credited the King for that when the national NFL insiders did not. Howard also reported that the Phillies would not re-sign Aaron Nola, but they gave him a long contract instead, so he got that one wrong. He’s had a couple of hits, some misses, nothing remarkable over the years.
But at least HE ASKS THE TOUGH QUESTIONS! That’s what the boomers say. And you know what? They’re right! We need people like Howard at Gabe Kapler’s introductory press conference to ask about coconut oil masturbation.
WHY DON’T YOU PULL THE PLUG!
