This tweet is making the rounds on Philly Twitter. A Sixers fan is proposing a standing ovation for Tobias Harris, who is struggling for the fourth season in a row as the team finds itself 3-7 over the last 10:

Puke.

The thing I hate most about the Trea Turner ovation “working” is that it will produce copycats. We had that random podcast stand outside NovaCare after the Eagles started to slide and it did nothing. The thing with the Turner ovation that annoys me is you could’ve just read the back of his baseball card and knew he would snap out of his slump. Tobias’ situation is completely different. We’ve got years and years of data to understand he is who he is. We have Trea in Philly for the next decade. Hopefully we have Tobias for only another four months. But now someone will try this dumb shit for the next decade every time an athlete here sucks.

But here’s the thing. It’s all an elaborate troll:

I can’t even be mad at this kid. This is the internet nowadays. Don’t hate the player, hate the game. Engagement farming is a serious issue. I tip my cap. I took the bait.

Tough week for Tobias regardless:
