Report: College GameDay Could Maybe Be on Independence Mall Next Saturday

After last night’s fourth quarter comeback made the Temple Owls 7-0 for the first time in school history, the talk is heating up even more that College GameDay could be coming to town. One of the questions if it does, though, is where? Temple’s campus is far from where the team plays, and outside the Linc is just a lot of sad concrete (and doesn’t really give off the GameDay vibe).
Mike Missanelli cited his sources today saying that College GameDay will be coming to Philadelphia on Halloween, and that location issue is settled by setting up shop at Independence Mall. There is, of course, a grain of salt to be taken with this, but College GameDay did retweet the tweet below, adding fuel to the fire:
A few people in Missanelli’s mentions said it should be at Xfinity Live. But in the interest of catching as few on-camera fan fights as possible, Independence Mall is probably the safer bet. That’s the last thing we need.
