This is the flagrant type 2 foul that got Elton Brand ejected from the fourth quarter of last night's game collapse.  Today, Sixers PR Director Mike Preston announced that the league suspended Brand for tonight's game against Toronto.

Like it's going to matter.

I put together a full recap of the collapse over at Philly Sports Daily:

That, folks, is called being creative.  In the final 5 minutes and 55 seconds, the Sixers committed a flagrant foul, missed four free throws, turned the ball over three times, fouled the Wizards’ best player on a desperation heave, and threw in a 4:47 scoring drought just for good measure.  Amazing.

Annnd I just quoted myself.

It seems to be a day of fines and suspensions.  Earlier today, Asante Samuel was fined $40,000 and Todd Herremans was fined $5,000 for his chop block.
