It’s easily forgotten that the Eagles went to the NFC
Championship game last year.  They weren’t
expected to win a playoff game, let alone two.
For one week, Philadelphia was again planning for a return to the Super
Bowl as all the Eagles had to do was get passed the lowly Cardinals…

It was a disappointing end to a shocking season.  The Eagles had to have so much go right just
to make the playoffs.  Then, they beat
the Vikings and the Giants soundly, giving fans hope of a Super Bowl run.  It was quite the accomplishment for Andy and
Co., despite the fact that the loss was a splash of cold water to a dreaming
fan base.  Even still,  it was the Eagles 5th NFC
Championship appearance in 8 years.
Impressive by any means.
