Kristen Lee does not like it when you spit on her.
Back in October during Game 3 of the ALCS, Yankess fans spit into the Texas Rangers' family section and threw bottles into their bullpen. The whole experience seems to have soured Cliff Lee's wife.
Randy Miller of Calkins media reports that the incident was one of the deciding factors for Lee:
A good source tells me that Cliff Lee''s wife is the main reason he didn't sign with Yankees. She wanted NO PART of New York, I was told.
Well look at that. For once it's not Philly fans who are the national story for acting boorish.
Way to go, New York.
FUCK NY! I hate them with a passion! I love Cliff and would be happy to get him under any circumstances but having him kick NY in the balls to come to Philly makes it ten times better! Eat shit and die NY!

New York fans are some of the most arrogant jerks in any sport. I'm glad the jerkoffs who spit on Mrs. Lee are a big reason why Cliff did not pick NYY.

Glad to see Amaro admit he made a mistake. The best part about all of this is now Hammel doesn't need to pitch in the playoffs, where he's shaky. Should of kept Jason, though.

Dude said Hamels is shakey in the playoffs. I remember a playoffs and World Series MVP Award he has. He might pitch twice in the playoffs in game 4s if he remains the 4th pitcher but he may move up depending on how the season goes.
