Jayson Stark handed out his offseason grades for the NL East yesterday. The Phillies, of course, finished first, receiving a B+. All of the positives came out of the Cliff Lee move (obvi..), but Stark did note the Phillies failure to address the right field situation and how they may struggle to fill that postion internally (we're looking at you, Dom Brown).

The best part of the piece was his friendly jab at the New York Metropolitans:

The Nationals and Phillies made signings that shocked the world. The Braves and Marlins made a stunning trade — with each other. And the Mets mostly shoveled snow.

The Amazin' Mets, folks.

  1. What a great comment about the Mets!

  2. I’m not a Mets apologist, but with what money are they supposed to make a roster move? At least they’re trying to earn some extra spending cash by shoveling.

  3. you are an idiot Kyle
