Sidney Crosby's concussion will officially keep him out of the All-Star Game. The Penguins covered his tracks, saying it was their decision he would not make the trip (not Crosby stiffing the league).
In addition to Sid, Evgeni Malkin and Ales Hemsky pulled out of the game because of injuries. That will open up a few spots. Perhaps for Richie and Carts? Nope.
Carts said he's not going and Richie has plans with friends: [Philly Sports Daily]
“I have plans already and can’t cancel on a bunch of my friends that are looking forward to it."
I bet they are, Mike. Porn stars, Swedish puck bunnies, and beer tub girls aren't going to entertain themselves. Well… never mind.

Halladay should play in the All-Star game. He can do anything. Have we not learned this?
I don’t know if anyone saw the comments from Sean O’Donell on Comcast Sportsnet this morning but my impression is that he found it very disrespectful that Richards and Carts would pass on the all-star game to go hang out with some beer buddies. He said something along the lines of if the all star game calls, you break you plans with friends and go.
That is a very good tip especially to those fresh to the blogosphere. Simple but very precise information
