WIPGOT

UPDATE: At about 2:20, Innes informed listeners that he would be able to address the current situation after break. At 2:30, the show returned from break with Joe Giglio talking sports. Innes seemingly left the studio. This part of it, at least, has publicity stunt written all over it. But  if so, it’s too much. Wrong decade for this shit and a short-term ratings grab. If not, it’s just embarrassing.

No idea how to even approach this, so here’s a timeline of events:

Yesterday: Reports – ours and Philly.com’s – that there’s discord between Tony Bruno and Josh Innes. Jody Mac fills in.

Today: We report that the show is likely done. Bruno doesn’t want to work with Innes.

1 p.m.: Innes takes the air with Joe Giglio, and then, in a move straight out of Howard Stern’s playbook, delivers this rant about his bosses muzzling him, threatens to play music until he’s allowed to talk about it, cuts to commercial, after about 10 minutes the show returns to music, then back to commercial, another 10 minutes, then back to Innes and Sue Schilling, who delivered an update, which was constantly interupted by Innes:

And then back to regular discussion. What happened in those 20 minutes… is anyone’s guess. THE SONG:
