John Middleton and Other Philly Sports Owners Crack Forbes’ Richest People in America List

BILLIONAIRE HAIR.

John Middleton, Phillies managing owner and parent of POWERS, has made Forbes’ Richest People in America list. He is joined by Joshua Harris and Michael Rubin– a Sixers co-owner with Harris with whom I’ve had the pleasure(?) of being on email exchanges at GSI Commerce (sort of guy who will fire off late-night “fix it”-s to stabilize his empire). Middleton and Rubin are tied for 256th at $2.6 billion, slightly ahead of Harris, 268th, who is worth only $2.5 billion.

The best part is that Middleton, who has routinely kept a low profile, doesn’t have a picture. He’s the super rich equivalent of a Twitter egg. But that’s poppycock, I say. He’s the Phillies’ front man now. Needs a profile. He’s the next great MLB owner. So I went ahead and put his beautiful billionaire strands on the list:

There, that’s better. [Nothing I could do to remove the bags under Rubin’s eyes, however.]

Sadly, Jeffrey Lurie, whose estimated net worth is $1.1 billion, didn’t crack the list.

You can see the full list here. Love billionaires. Love them.
