The Loser of Eagles/Giants will have to Play the Rams in London Next Year
The Eagles’ 2015 season isn’t yet over, but the second the clock ticks :00 in their week 17 matchup, we’ll know their week 7 matchup in 2016.
A couple of weeks ago, the NFL announced their slate of London games for next season, with the week 7 game against the St. Louis Rams a little bit up in the air. Due to the NFL’s scheduling formula, the Rams would play whichever NFC East team finished in the same spot in their division as the Rams did. St. Louis is now locked into third place in the NFC West, so whoever loses between the Eagles and Giants will have to fly to Twickenham.
The birds and big blue are currently tied for second place in the division at 6-9. Whichever team ends their season 7-9 takes second place and gets to stay in America. The loser falls to 6-10 and has to play the St. Louis (for now) Rams overseas.
The Eagles’ season may be completely over, but not having to play in England should be enough motivation for week 17.
