A little over a week ago, we wrote about the new food offerings at Citizens Bank Park. But more were unveiled at an event last night [editor’s note: which we were not invited to for reasons that defy belief].

First, Aramark will be opening Zoom Food, a touch-screen kiosk-based ordering system. Located at section 126 behind home plate, Zoom Food – which will sound incredibly lame when said out loud – will work like this:

Fans … swipe their credit cards at color-coded kiosks in front of the concession stand. Once the transaction is complete, they take the receipt to a pick-up area, where they receive their order. They can self-serve their own soda or pick up a beer from a designated beer-only window.

Beer only window. Mmm. Though the buggy MLB At The Ballpark app seems to be a better technological ordering system.

In addition to zoooooom fooooood, we now know even more about what is new at CBP this season:

  • Primo Hoagies will have a stand in Ashburn Alley
  • “The Mac Shack” debuts in section 122, offering topped mac & cheese
  • Bull’s BBQ is adding pulled chicken to the menu
  • The previously announced Italian Roast Pork Stak (boardwalk fries topped with in-house roast pork, sharp Provolone cheese sauce, cherry pepper aioli and chopped roasted long hots) is now called the South Philly Shareable Stak and will be available behind section 120. As we mentioned before, it looks incredible:Italian Roast Pork Stak 2 - CBP
  • In addition to the Jersey Shore Dog, the new version of the South Philly Dog (chili-garlic broccoli rabe, roasted red peppers, aged provolone) and the Mac & Cheese Dog (mac & cheese on a hot dog) make their debuttopps
  • Harry the K’s previously announced Farmer’s Market Grain Bowl (below) is also joined by a Falafel Sandwich (house-made pita, iceberg lettuce, English cucumber, bell peppers, tomatoes, sesame mint yogurt sauce) and Pastrami Sausage (house-cured sausage, topped with hickory smoked bacon, red cabbage, and tarragon mustard)grain bowl

Barrett Brooks was invited to the event – unlike us – and here’s his breakdown of some of the new items:

Kyle: Is the chili-garlic rabe on the South Philly Dog new? CHILI-GARLIC? Has this always been there and is just now being specified? These are all questions I could’ve asked if I was invited to the goddamn event. Anyway, I’M INTRIGUED by any changes to the sultan of swat, the king of crash, the colossus of clout, the South Philly Dog!
