There was a 1.1% chance the Sixers would have received the #1 overall pick in last night’s NBA Draft Lottery.

The 98.9% happened, and the Sixers ended up with the 10th overall pick, as expected. The ONE HOUR show was boring, and I’m not sure why it was an hour long. The Sixers will have six picks in this year’s draft: 10 and 26 in the first round, and picks 38, 39, 56, and 60 in the second round. I would think the team might trade some of those assets.

Since we officially know where the Sixers will pick, we can talk about who they could take with the pick. Mikal Bridges seems the most obvious choice, but there could be some others in there as well, such as Trae Young or Miles Bridges.

Phoenix got the top spot for the first time in franchise history. Sacramento jumped to the #2 spot, and Atlanta took home the 3rd overall pick.

In other Sixers-related content, Kevin recapped Jerryd Bayless’ season. He’s still on the team. Russ is salivating over the idea of having both Kawhi Leonard and Paul George on this team next year. I would as well.

After over a three hour rain delay, last night’s Phillies-Orioles game was postponed. They’ll make that game up July 12.

Today’s game will be played at 12:05 PM. It’s supposed to rain all day in Baltimore again. Nick Pivetta will get the start.

We’ll eventually see Manny Machado play against the Phillies, and maybe with them next year. It’s no secret the team might want him next year:

“He’s an animal,” Phillies manager Gabe Kapler said. “He hits just about everything in the strike zone. When he’s going well, he hits out of the strike zone as well. He drives the ball to all parts of the ballpark and right now, he’s among the league’s top five or 10 players. Right now, he stands out in the lineup as the guy you think about most. Not that the other guys on the Orioles’ lineup aren’t really good players, but he just stands out and shines fairly bright.”

If Vince Velasquez figures it out and stays consistently good, the starting rotation could be really good.

Defensive end Brandon Graham underwent surgery on his right ankle and could miss summer workouts. He could also miss Week 1 against Atlanta.

The Eagles signed linebacker LaRoy Reynolds and cut safety Dominick Sanders. He’ll help out the special teams unit.
