Philly sports teams need help.

We know about the Eagles, the Phillies collapsed to end their season, Sixers head coach Brett Brown admitted they need help, and the Flyers are their usual mediocre selves. It continued last night in Boston with a 3-0 loss to the Bruins.

The good news was the game was scoreless more than halfway through, so that was a positive. But the bad news, as previously mentioned, was the fact that the Flyers scored zero goals. Zdeno Chara scored twice, one of them an empty netter, and Jake DeBrusk added a power play goal. Brian Elliott stopped 22 of 24 shots while the Bruins’ Jaroslav Halak stopped all 26 shots he faced.

Up next for the Flyers is a Saturday afternoon matchup at home against the Islanders at 1 PM. Michal Neuvirth may start after getting recalled from Lehigh Valley. While you get ready for that game, enjoy a new episode of Snow the Goalie.

In other non-current Flyers team news, Morgan Frost is doing pretty damn well, and the City of Philadelphia honored Gritty for some reason.
