Your Tuesday Morning Roundup
The Phillies lost to the Padres last night 8-2 in San Diego.
Manny Machado hit a grand slam home run in the bottom of the of the sixth as part of San Diego’s seven-run inning. Aaron Nola was fine up until that sixth inning, where his final line was 5 1/3 innings with six runs off eight hits to go along with five strikeouts.
Jay Bruce also made his Phillies debut, going 1-for-3.
But that was because Andrew McCutchen got hurt. Which is the bigger story from last night:

Right now, the Phillies are calling it a sprained knee but McCutchen left Petco Park on crutches. He sounded optimistic. But this does not optimistic:

Hayes will be an unrestricted free agent on July 1, but the Flyers can negotiate with him exclusively before next month.
Eagles OTAs continued yesterday, and Doug Pederson expects everyone to be at the mandatory portion next week. That includes Malcolm Jenkins.
They might be looking at some safety help:
After visiting with the Colts on Monday, Titans’ free-agent safety Johnathan Cyprien is visiting and working out for the Eagles today, per source.
Eagles have been looking to add safety help, and Malcolm Jenkins has been a no show this off-season – with no end in sight.
