SugarHouse Sportsbook is rolling out an unbelievable season-long NFL pick’em contest in Pennsylvania which will feature over $500k in prizes. They become the first PA betting site to offer a leaderboard-style contest.

Popular in Las Vegas, pick ’em contests are a way for sportsbooks to engage casual fans by creating a simple pick’em game and leaderboard. SugarHouse Sportsbook will partner with its PA sister site Bet Rivers Sportsbook on a contest open to all players in Pennsylvania.

“We are really excited about the upcoming NFL season and know our players are, too,” said Richard Schwartz, President of Rush Street Interactive.  “We wanted to make this season even more thrilling for football fans by creating a pick’em game where huge cash prizes will be won.”

How SugarHouse Sportsbook’s Pick ‘Em Contest Works

sugarhouse sportsbook contest

Users will pick winners for NFL games on Sunday and Monday and be ranked accordingly. At the end of the season, the overall winner will receive $125,000.

Players can enter now through September 8. The contest costs $150, but if those who enter by August 15 can get in for $125.

The best part is that there is no casino rake on the contest. 100% of entry fees will be paid out to winners. And if more than $500,000 in entries are collected, SugarHouse will raise the total payouts.

Players can enter up to 25 times.

Leaderboards sports betting contests

SugarHouse Sportsbook in PA has been out ahead of the market in many ways– first to launch, first to offer iOS betting, and now first to offer the popular pick ’em style contest which we have yet seen in New Jersey. The closest thing we’ve seen is DraftKings Sportsbook’s pools. And this is exactly the sort of customer-focused options online sportsbooks have to offer to customers to stay relevant. SugarHouse Sportsbook is fighting the likes DraftKings and FanDuel, and being the first to offer this sort of contest is a huge stop.

SugarHouse is currently our recommended PA online sportsbook (they are one of several PA sportsbooks we are partners with). They offer iOS betting, a pick ’em contest, and an online casino.
