Derrius Guice Has Another Knee Issue
Morgan Moses thought it was a “slap in the face” that Adrian Peterson was inactive for Sunday’s season opener against the Eagles, a game in which second-year back Derrius Guice got the majority of the carries.
Guice, who was returning from a rookie year ACL tear, apparently has another knee issue that is being looked at, according to Ian Rapoport:
The knee currently receiving an MRI is the same knee Derrius Guice injured in college. The ACL knee was the healthier knee. https://t.co/n2pbLGOST0

The Eagles don’t play the Redskins again until December 15th, so they might see Guice again this season, depending on how this plays out. Looks like Adrian Peterson is gonna be suiting up for Sunday’s home opener against the Cowboys, joining Chris Thompson and Wendell Smallwood as Jay Gruden’s backfield options.
