No trade up, no trade back.

The Eagles held at #21 overall and took TCU receiver Jalen Reagor, adding some badly needed speed and dynamic playmaking ability.

He’s 5’11”, 200 pounds, and ran an okay 40-yard dash. He only caught 43 balls for 611 yards and five touchdowns last year, and his best season actually was the prior year, as a sophomore, when he hit the 1,000 yard mark with nine touchdowns. TCU has dropped off a bit and didn’t have fantastic quarterback play in 2019.

During his freshman season, he was obviously further down the pecking order but still caught eight touchdown passes and went for 576 yards on 33 receptions, with the talented Kenny Hill throwing him the ball. Then Reagor’s numbers went back and forth with Max Duggan, Mike Collins, and Shawn Robinson at QB.

Curtis Samuel is a decent NFL comparison. Reagor is a good playmaker but they’re gonna have to scheme him properly and make an effort to get the ball in his hands. I originally thought they might be able to trade back and still snag him, but I guess they decided to just go for it at #21 overall.

Lance Zierlein earlier today reported that the Eagles were “enamored” with Reagor’s ability, which turned out to be true. Nice job by him.
