Earlier this week, the Eagles stunned the football world by parting ways with Super Bowl-winning head coach Doug Pederson. In the days following the move, the organization appears interested in, well, just about everybody to become its next head coach. Enter FanDuel Sportsbook to make the search even more interesting.

No, you can’t bet on an Eagles game this weekend because they went 4-11-1 and managed to miss the playoffs despite once leading arguably the worst division in the history of the league, but you can still bet on the Eagles. That’s because FanDuel Sportsbook has listed odds for New Jersey bettors on which candidate will become the Eagles’ next head coach.

Sorry, the market isn’t available in Pennsylvania, a state that is a bit more conservative when it comes to betting markets outside of standard competitions.

Currently, the candidate with the best odds is 49ers defensive coordinator Robert Saleh (+200), who is followed by the likes of Chiefs quarterbacks coach Mike Kafka (+450) and current Cowboys offensive coordinator Kellen Moore (+500).

Eagles Head Coach Odds at FanDuel Sportsbook

Here is a complete look at the current betting odds for who will become the Eagles’ next head coach:

  • Robert Saleh (+200)
  • Mike Kafka (+450)
  • Kellen Moore (+500)
  • Brian Daboll (+650)
  • Eric Bienemy (+650)
  • Duce Staley (+700)
  • Lincoln Riley (+700)
  • Jerod Mayo (+750)
  • Todd Bowles (+750)
  • Brandon Staley (+1100)
  • Joe Brady (+1100)
  • Graham Harrell (+1400)
  • Greg Roman (+1600)
  • James Urban (+1600)
  • Jim Caldwell (+1600)
  • Byron Leftwich (+2300)
  • Pep Hamilton (+2300)
  • Anthony Lynn (+2900)
  • Nick Saban (+5000)

To recap — if you have a pulse, a football background and some head coaching aspirations, you’re on this list, although I think some of the names above can be eliminated almost immediately. For instance, there is no way that Nick Saban is coming to the Eagles. In fact, Eagles offensive line coach Jeff Stoutland is reportedly headed back to the Crimson Tide to rejoin Saban’s staff in Tuscaloosa.

It’s also worth noting that while Saleh leads the odds board, he is currently -600 to become the Jets’ next head coach at FanDuel Sportsbook, so don’t lock in the betting favorite here just yet. Kafka, a former Eagles quarterback, has the direct line to Andy Reid, which this organization seems to prefer, so he’s in play. Meanwhile, Duce Staley (+700) has received the support of some notable former Eagles and is well-respected within the organization.

From this perspective, perhaps the most interesting name is that of Moore. The 32-year-old recently passed on the Boise State head coaching gig to sign a three-year deal that keeps him with the Cowboys through the 2023 season. Interest from the Eagles, however, could throw a wrench into those plans:

Other Head Coaching Odds at FanDuel Sportsbook

The Eagles aren’t the only team with head coaching odds on the board at FanDuel as prices are also available for the Jets’ search.

As noted above, Saleh (-600) is a heavy favorite. He’s followed by Titans offensive coordinator Arthur Smith (+400) and Bills offensive coordinator Brian Daboll (+1000). It’s pretty telling that nine different Eagles’ candidates have odds shorter than +1000 while the Jets only have two. In other words, the Eagles’ search is about as wide open as it gets.
